We offer unique historical perspectives of the African Diaspora through rare artifacts, literature, and art featured in the BRADLC Museum.

Our Business Philosophy

Best Richardson African Diaspora Literature & Culture Museum is a non-profit Veteran and Woman-owned business, bookstore, and gift shop.  Our museum provides youth and adults with educational artifacts and information on African Diaspora literary and cultural history.  We feature rare and antiquarian books written by writers of African Descent. We sell exceptional used, rare, and new books and high-quality African and Gullah Geechee gift items. Our utmost goal is to provide reliable customer service, and we ship stateside for a nominal fee.

Our Employees

Employees play an important role in any business. We are a family of friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.  We search far and wide to obtain the books and information you seek.  We attempt to bring our passion for African Diaspora literature and cultural exploration to you through our business and this website.

Our History

We opened BBRT Associates LLC in 1997 in Virginia Beach, VA.  Though we began as traveling vendors, we quickly opened a two-story storefront bookstore.  We then moved to Virginia Beach Farmers Market and Antique Mall. Since then, we have taken our business to four other cities and two countries (Korea and Turkey) before re-opening in Tampa and now St. Augustine, FL.  We have taken our book business to military and civilian communities as a military family ourselves.  Our changing focus is on a historical and genealogical venture featuring our books in a museum setting.  We relocated from Tampa to St. Augustine, FL, and are excited to serve the local military and civilian community and have our business on the web, where we are accessible to the world.

Please phone us at 904-217-8255 or email us at bradlcmuseum@gmail.com to let us know if you are searching for a speaker or genealogist to visit your location or to set up programs.  We also welcome your contributions to our genealogy blog: www.carries-Kin.Blogspot.com
